Job Opportunity: Part Time School Cleaner in Sunderland

The School Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for students, staff, and visitors. The role involves daily cleaning of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and other facilities to ensure a welcoming and hygienic space.

The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail, work well as part of a team, and take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Details:

• Hours: Approximately 12.5 hours per week, shifts as per site rota, Monday to Friday 05:30am – 08:00am.
• Pay rate: £12.21 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Below is not an exhaustive list; other reasonable and relevant tasks may be assigned:

• Clean all areas within the contract, maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene.
• Clean classrooms, staff rooms, offices, hallways, and communal areas (sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming).
• Empty waste bins and dispose of rubbish appropriately.
• Clean desks, chairs, and furniture.
• Wash and disinfect sinks, toilets, and restroom facilities.
• Refill soap dispensers, toilet paper, and paper towels as needed.
• Clean windows, doors, and walls as required.
• Respond to emergency cleaning tasks such as spills or accidents.
• Assist in maintaining outdoor areas, like playgrounds or school grounds, if required.

• Experience in a customer-facing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous cleaning experience and knowledge
