People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Hiab Driver to join our well-established client based in Southend. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Rates of Pay (PAYE)
Day to Day Duties
- Delivering most building materials and home interior improvements products (not bathrooms and kitchens)
- Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
- Operating a HIAB/lorry-mounted crane safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
- Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
- Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed
As a Class 2 Hiab Driver you will need to:
- Must be able to work as a team
- Have a minimum of 24 months continuous experience driving Category C vehicles
- No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
- HIAB (ALLMI) Qualification Card
- Must be able to use PDA (personal digital assistant)
- Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
- Hold a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
- Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
- Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
- Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
- Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
- Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
- Six-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment
- Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
- After successful Assessment, there will be an on-the-job training
