People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Hiab Driver to join our well-established client based in Southend. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

To be considered for this role you MUST have a minimum of 24 months of continuous driving experience.

Rates of Pay (PAYE)

Day to Day Duties

  • Delivering most building materials and home interior improvements products (not bathrooms and kitchens)
  • Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
  • Operating a HIAB/lorry-mounted crane safely and efficiently
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
  • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
  • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
  • Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed

As a Class 2 Hiab Driver you will need to:

  • Must be able to work as a team
  • Have a minimum of 24 months continuous experience driving Category C vehicles
  • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
  • HIAB (ALLMI) Qualification Card
  • Must be able to use PDA (personal digital assistant)
  • Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
  • Hold a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
  • Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
  • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
  • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
  • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
  • Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial

Training

  • Six-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment
  • Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
  • After successful Assessment, there will be an on-the-job training
