Glu Recruit is seeking an experienced Civils Contracts Manager to oversee all aspects of our client\’s projects, ensuring quality and safety through ISO-accredited processes. The role involves delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards, with a focus on customer satisfaction from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an efficient, safe, and effective team.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety and quality objectives at all times.
  • Support construction teams in working according to approved documents.
  • Develop good communication skills within teams to facilitate effective communication and achieve company goals.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to meet mutual objectives.
  • Assist in developing team members\’ skills to meet business needs and clarify responsibilities.
  • Provide direction and leadership to team members and assist where needed.
  • Create and maintain a highly motivated team.
  • Work within all company policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Main Duties:

  • Manage projects and site crews, including ordering plant and materials, van hire, and crew management.
  • Prepare and secure approval for RAMS and quality documentation with clients.
  • Liaise with clients to meet their requirements.
  • Report on and manage financial budgets.
  • Recruit and manage site employees.
  • Plan and schedule works.
  • Coordinate with design departments to understand construction drawings.
  • Manage formwork.

The successful candidate:

  • Has experience in project management within the construction/civils industry.
  • Has managed projects on a national level.
  • Possesses CPCS and other relevant construction training and certifications.
  • Has strong prioritization skills.
  • Can create RAMS and safe systems of work following construction guidelines.
  • Has experience managing site construction personnel and teams.
  • Possesses good problem-solving skills.
  • Has excellent communication skills at all levels, including colleagues, clients, suppliers, consultants, and site teams.
  • Is proficient in Excel and Word; Microsoft Project skills are preferred.
