We are seeking to recruit a litigator with 6+ years PQE to join our civil fraud and asset recovery team in London.

The civil fraud and asset recovery team is part of our Litigation, Regulatory & Tax department, specializing in cases involving allegations of fraud and dishonesty. The team focuses on devising and implementing asset recovery strategies, including interim remedies such as financial disclosure applications, search orders, and freezing injunctions. Our work often has an international dimension. For example, we represent the Danish tax authority (SKAT) against Sanjay Shah in a £1.44bn fraud dispute, with a trial beginning in April 2024. We also act for defendants in a $1.9bn fraud claim brought by Privatbank in Ukraine. Our cases often involve banking, financial services, and other sectors. Please note that this role pertains solely to civil litigation; it does not involve corporate crime or regulatory work.

  • We seek a high-quality candidate to help manage our busy practice and contribute to our growth.
  • Prior experience in fraud disputes is desirable but not essential; candidates with relevant knowledge and a genuine interest are encouraged to apply.
  • The candidate should possess strong technical ability, a good work ethic, and resilience.
