I am currently recruiting on behalf of a client who creates exceptional cars that blend British elegance with ferocious intelligence to forge a new legacy, forever. Having offices in Leamington Spa and Shalford, Surrey, they are looking for a Chassis Project Engineer – Steering Systems to join their team on a rolling contract basis.

42 hours per week, outside IR35.

Job Summary:

• The Chassis Project Engineer – Steering Systems Specialist will be responsible for the design, testing, validation, and integration of steering systems within the vehicle chassis.
• This role involves working cross-functionally with other engineering teams to ensure that steering systems meet performance, safety, durability, and regulatory requirements.
• The engineer will oversee project timelines, resources, and budget to ensure successful product delivery from concept to production.

Design and Development:

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of steering systems (mechanical, hydraulic, or electric) to ensure they meet vehicle performance, handling, and safety criteria.
• Develop and maintain system requirements, specifications, and documentation.
• Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of steering systems into the overall chassis design.

Project Management:

• Manage steering system projects from concept through to production, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and budgets are met.
• Coordinate testing and validation processes to assess system performance under various conditions.
• Communicate project status, risks, and challenges to stakeholders.
