Category & Insight Manager
This role is a rare opportunity for those in Category to take their career to new heights!

There are very few businesses within the Food sector like this one – a business that has significant relationships with the retailers, with a newly created Category team providing real opportunity to those who join at the start of this exciting journey!
You will support the Senior Commercial Team to deliver 3-year plans for revenue and margin growth. You will support in making the essential step-change to a data and insight driven Manufacturing Business, focused on delivering actionable insights to customers.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Identifying category & consumer trends.
- Bringing together shopper insights, market & retailer data to best understand & present the market & the consumer dynamic.
- Supporting the delivery of category reviews, identifying issues & developing recommendations.
- Influencing stakeholders to launch EBITDA winning categories.
- Building, managing and maintaining weekly and monthly business reports for sharing with both internal and external customers using available data resources including Kantar, IGD, Circana (Edge) and any other relevant data sets.
- Managing and delivering weekly store visits highlighting key points of difference to the wider team (including sites, NPD etc.) and our customers.
- Supporting the tailoring, planning and executing long-term category plans and securing long-term engagement with customers.
- Aiding the delivery of operationally joined-up NPD & EPD.
Who will be the ideal candidate:
- A Category Manager or Senior Category Executive feeling stagnant in their current role – perhaps frustrated with their current setup or the lack of legitimate opportunity to move their career forward.
- At least 2 years of experience within a Food Manufacturing environment. If you don’t have 2 years within Food Manufacturing, but have wider experience within the FMCG sector and at least some experience of the food sector, then do still apply as your application will be considered.
