Job Description:

Our client, a leading carbon and energy consultancy, is looking for a Carbon and Energy Consultant to join their expanding team. In this role, you will manage diverse projects involving ESOS, ISO 50001, UK ETS, and CCA while providing expert advice on energy reduction and efficiency strategies. You will also offer consultative support, prepare reports, and conduct ESOS audits. To be successful, you must be an ESOS Lead Assessor with experience in auditing, conducting surveys, report writing, and managing client portfolios . Key responsibilities:

  1. Planning and coordination of energy efficiency and ESOS projects.
  2. Energy auditing and delivery of compliance-oriented projects to tight deadlines.
  3. Compiling client’s energy and carbon emissions monitoring reports and evidence packs.
  4. Working on client’s energy reduction projects to ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
  5. Delivery of client reports and presentations to support technical and commercial projects.
  6. Build, sustain, and enhance strong working relationships with clients through regular meetings.
  7. Data monitoring and analysis for reports as required by external or internal clients.
  8. Continuous review of legislation on energy, carbon trading, and other environmental matters.
  9. Support colleagues with internal training, guidance, and assist with query management.
  10. QA checking of reports and spreadsheets.
  11. Leading client/site visits.

Skills, qualifications and experience required:

  1. Proven experience in a similar role within a consultancy.
  2. ESOS Lead Assessor and Educated to Degree level.
  3. Ability to undertake site visits to deliver compliance work as above.
  4. Experience of energy management strategies and carbon reduction plans.
  5. Evidence of carrying out industrial energy audits to ISO 50002 or PAS 51215.
  6. Experience of dealing with multiple client types – industrial, commercial.
  7. Knowledge of ESOS, ISO50001 & CCA as above.
  8. Ability to receive, understand and convey technical information.
  9. Motivated with excellent organisational, numeric, and communication skills.
  10. Intermediate to Advanced Excel.
  11. Full clean driver’s licence.
