The role:
- We are a team of specialists, and your role in the Capital Markets, Accounting advisory and Structuring (CMAS) team as a Manager will involve applying technical expertise to solve problems and advise clients as they navigate changes in their business. You will be expected to work across our key areas of client delivery, including:
- Structuring & Accounting Advisory;
- CMAS Digital; and
- Deal Advisory.
You will work in dynamic teams directly for senior stakeholders at a range of clients across industry sectors (including energy, technology, financial services, and retail/consumer) in the UK and internationally. We are a solution-oriented business, collaborating with other parts of the firm (including Tax and Deals) and external advisors to provide expertise on accounting, structuring, and capital markets within CMAS.
Projects are delivered in small teams with a flat structure, allowing close collaboration with partners and directors in CMAS and other PwC areas, while also managing and coaching junior colleagues.
What your days will look like:
- Advising on various engagements from an accounting, structuring, and capital markets perspective in both transaction and non-transaction scenarios.
- Delivering reports and presentations for client discussions, covering complex accounting, legal, and regulatory issues.
- Coordinating input from PwC teams across different services and regions.
- Designing solutions to structure transactions for optimal client outcomes, focusing on complex accounting matters.
- Collaborating with senior management, bankers, lawyers, and advisors in the UK, North America, Europe, and beyond.
- Supporting business growth through opportunity targeting, networking, and client service.
This role is for you if:
- You have experience with IFRS (and preferably UK GAAP).
- You possess an ACA qualification (or equivalent).
- You have an interest in transactions and transformation.
- You have problem-solving skills and logical thinking.
- You are intellectually curious and willing to learn new skills in unfamiliar industries/environments.
- You have strong communication skills and can produce high-quality reports and technical analyses.
- You have good project management skills and can manage multiple engagements effectively.
