About the role: We’re looking for a comms all-rounder to join our busy Communications and Marketing team. This fixed-term position will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing communication and marketing activities, in particular for the council’s involvement in delivering the work of the Tata Transition Board.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver communication and marketing activities as the project communications and marketing service expert.
- Work closely with project teams and stakeholders to understand project/programme objectives and develop communications strategies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster positive relationships and ensure effective communications.
- Create compelling and accurate multimedia content for various platforms, including press releases, website updates, social media, and other communications materials.
About you:
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent in a business or communications discipline.
- Ability to design, deliver, and manage a full range of communication and marketing campaigns and activities.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, on own initiative, to tight deadlines, and to deal with competing priorities.
- Outstanding IT skills and confident use of multiple platforms and content management systems.
