The Role – Business Development Manager
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to be a part of a growing Data Management and Analytics Consultancy within the sales team. As a Business Development Manager, you will primarily be focused on driving new business sales throughout the UK. To be successful in this role, you will have at least 5 years’ experience with a proven track record in securing new business and developing long-lasting business relationships. The ideal candidate would have experience selling consultancy professional services. A mix of industry experience would be great – FS, Retail, Pharma, Energy, Telco, etc. The role will be based at our office in either Edinburgh, Leeds, or London, although travel to other office locations will be expected at times.
Qualifications Requirements
- Ability to cold call, make new connections and secure new business meetings
- A natural networker and influencer who enjoys meeting new potential clients and promoting our business and brand
- Client-focused, keen to take the time to understand the client and their needs and matching with our skilled consultant base to ensure best outcomes for all
- Commercially aware with a strong focus on maximizing revenue-generating opportunities
- Effective negotiating and influencing skills with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work both autonomously and within the wider BDP team
- Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
- Experience in managing the sales pipeline and recording on Salesforce
- Excited by technology and data, with a desire to push beyond your role and work collaboratively across the Sales & Marketing and People teams, as well as the broader business
- Able to be flexible and adaptable to changing business needs, working with multiple stakeholders

- You must be willing to work on client sites, potentially for extended periods
- Willing to travel for work purposes and be happy to stay away from home for extended periods
