Wipro is looking for a Business Analyst – General / Commercial Insurance. This is a new role which will be at the heart of the growth agenda for the organisation. The role will have a primary focus on the DUA (Delegated Underwriting Authority) / Schemes – SMART replacement and workflow foundations.

As a Business Analyst – General / Commercial Insurance you will be a part of Wipro Domain & Consulting Business Line. At D&C, we are not only the best at execution, but we also act as a proactive force of change, a true partner in our clients’ transformation journey.

Purpose of the Role: As the Business Analyst – General / Commercial Insurance, you will work on moving the SMART database (Lotus Notes) to a strategic solution (Salesforce) and starting the Workflow foundational work.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Gathering requirements and scope capture
  • Understanding and mapping of the insurance processes, ways of working, value chain
  • Collection of data about an organisation’s operations to improve its systems and processes
  • Process mapping as agreed with the client
  • Identifying problems and opportunities for change with the current business model
  • Options development and recommendations to company management
  • Analysing the potential impact on the business of recommendations
  • Providing support and enablement services to the business
  • Acting as a customer proxy for the development team
  • Translating requirements into functional and non-functional specifications
  • Developing BRDs and other business requirements documentation
  • Designing potential solutions to problems
  • Preparing and delivering report of findings to senior stakeholders
  • Managing risks, issues, with end-to-end impact assessment

Mandatory Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience of working in the UK General Insurance or Commercial Insurance
  • Strong understanding of Commercial Insurance Schemes
  • Previous experience of implementing workflow solutions
  • Exposure to migrating databases to Salesforce
  • Excellent business analysis skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Knowledge of Agile, Scrum and Kanban
  • Ability to quickly understand the business processes
  • Excellent presentation skills
