New requirement for a growing multidisciplinary consultancy, working from their office in Belgravia, SW London. Focusing predominately on major regeneration residential and high-rise projects across the City, with a strong pipeline of work in the public sector. Offering a salary of up to £55k + bonus + travel + excellent progression opportunities and support with RICS APC.
The consultancy offers a multitude of services including project management, surveying, cost consultancy, and design management, and specializes in residential and affordable housing projects for developers, Housing Associations, and Local Authorities, now expanding to education and healthcare projects. Made up of around 100 employees and 4 offices, they are continuing to grow with a strong pipeline of work across London and the Southeast and further afield across England. The position is open to either their London location or based out of their office in Sevenoaks, Kent.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist with projects across all stages from inception through to completion, acting as the project deliverer
- Liaise with clients, residents, contractors, developers, and Clerk of Works
- Understand and interpret client briefs, assisting in design preparation, Contract Administration, and oversight of talent requirements and design proposals (pre and post contract)
- Assist and organize pre-contract investigations, scoping surveys, sustainability issues, and additional due diligence as required
- Involvement in project execution plans and communications
- Amend contract, preparation of build agreements, and JCT contracts
- Involvement in tendering, including procurement analysis and reporting
- Report writing, minute taking, and use of NBS specification writing
- Site inspections and report writing, attendance of site meetings
- Overall project management to ensure accuracy, timing, and satisfactory delivery to clients
- Defect inspections and final accounts.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years’ experience as a Building Surveyor
- Specification and drawing preparation experience
- Remedial/refurbishment experience on large scale projects
- Residential high-rise new build experience
- Experienced in diagnostic, building pathology, and report writing
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Fire Safety legislation
- Consultancy background
- RICS Accredited Degree
- RICS APC Pathway or just chartered
- UK Driving Licence and own car.
