About the Role
Base Location: Flexible across West / East – Midlands Region | We’re proud to offer a Flexible First approach to work, and this role is no exception. We will, however need your base ‘home’ location to be one of our SSE offices or depots in South West England.
Salary: £40,600 – £61,000 + car / allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

We are seeking a highly skilled Smart Buildings Commissioning Engineer. As a commissioning engineer, you will play a critical role in delivering key projects to our clients.
The successful individual will be driven and technically confident to deliver exciting BMS projects, whilst using the latest technologies and developments across multiple sectors, such as commercial offices, healthcare, and datacentres.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Commissioning the installation of BEMS and Control systems outlined by the Project Manager.
- Composing your own software strategies and graphics engineering.
- Performing physical wiring checks and plant start-ups, providing technical support to other trades and sub-contractors, and carrying out troubleshooting to diagnose system defects.
What do I need?
- Experience commissioning BEMS and Control systems, especially with Siemens PX and Trend IQ4 controls. (Niagara, Tridium, Distech advantageous)
- Exceptional communication and reporting skills are a must-have for maintaining strong relationships with team members and customers.
- Experience crafting your own software strategies and graphics, and your professionalism and dedication are unmatched.
- A driving license is required due to frequent travel.
