NQ Vacancies – Banking & Finance and Debt Capital Markets – High-value cross-border work – Jersey. This prestigious offshore law firm is looking for two ambitious newly qualified lawyers to join its acclaimed Jersey Banking and Finance team.
Openings exist for both general Banking and Finance, and for someone to specialise in Debt Capital Markets. You can expect plenty of responsibility from the outset, advising clients and onshore counsel on the Jersey law elements of major banking and finance/debt capital markets transactions, making this ideal for someone who wants to build their skills quickly and who relishes client contact.
You will have the opportunity to contribute fully to the firm’s ongoing client management/business development efforts. You will be qualifying as a lawyer in England and Wales (or an equivalent common law jurisdiction) and will have completed at least one relevant seat in banking, finance or capital markets.
You will have good technical and communication skills, and will be training with a City/top-tier UK-regional or equivalent international law firm. This is an outstanding career move.
While many junior lawyers remain in Jersey or elsewhere in the offshore sector for the long term, those who choose to return onshore in the future can expect to find that their experience is sought after throughout the market.
From a lifestyle perspective, Jersey offers a friendly, sociable international community, beautiful scenery and a work-life balance that is simply unattainable in an equivalent calibre of onshore firm, and all only an hour’s flight from London.
