Job Title: Assistant Technical Services Manager

Location: Greater London, United Kingdom

A great opportunity for an Assistant Technical Services Manager to join our Aftercare team within our Fit-Out division. This will be working with a small team responsible for day 2 projects within occupied office spaces, ranging in value up to £1.5 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to numerous Special Works projects from conception through to final completion and handover.
  • Manage the building services design/installation process and minimize risks associated with the services installation.
  • Ensure that the engineering services are installed and commissioned to the required standards and quality.
  • Ensure technical compliance on projects up to a value of £1.5 million.
  • Involve with design teams and trade contractors at site meeting level and project meeting level, contributing toward the project report.
  • Review design and shop drawings, and the project programme, contributing value engineering skills.
  • Suggest trade contractors, systems, and manufacturers for team appraisal.
  • Carry out M&E appraisals and contribute these to proposal team for inclusion in proposal.
  • Attend ‘pitch’ meetings.
  • Complete the monthly engineering services status report and submit it promptly to the SESM.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate sections of the Best Practice Manual.
  • Identify, solve, and report issues likely to affect each project.
  • Pay close attention to matters of health and safety.
  • Develop marketing relationships with external professionals and clients.
  • Develop strategic relationships with suppliers and contractors.

Skills & Experience:

  • Good level of general mechanical and electrical engineering services knowledge.
  • Competent in communicating and presenting.
  • Patient, reliable, persistent, and thorough.
  • Flexible team member.
  • Confident, motivated, and able to work under own initiative.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Preferably degree qualified (in building services engineering).
  • Or seeking to progress from a mechanical or electrical trade background.
