An ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School in the Borough of Southwark is looking to recruit a skilled and committed Art & DT Technician for a September start. This role provides the opportunity to work amongst a fantastic small team, supporting the delivery of Art & DT, managing departmental resources, and assisting other team members.
The School offers a rich and stimulating education comprised of a knowledge-rich curriculum, diverse cultural and extracurricular opportunities, and a strong pastoral support system. You will be working in an inclusive community as an Art / Design & Technology Technician, where all children are challenged to be the best they can be.
Working in a Secondary School includes:
- Supporting Art and DT in KS3 – KS5
- Supporting teachers in the classroom during practical lessons
- Helping and supporting the extracurricular/enrichment programme
Requirements:
- A strong academic background – GCSEs, A Levels and a degree from a reputable university
- Child related experience an advantage – Tutor / TA / Mentor
- Genuine passion and belief in the potential of every pupil
- Enthusiasm and passion for creative subjects and for the role practical work plays in education
- Excellent interpersonal skills with children and adults
- Hardworking, committed and outgoing graduate
