Responsible to: Account Manager

Role Overview: Flexible Area Supervisor supporting Account Managers in delivering allocated PSS contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing support services on client sites, including:
  • Assisting with holiday and sickness cover to ensure smooth contract operations;
  • Conducting site spot checks for equipment, uniforms, and consumables;
  • Reporting delivery issues or service shortcomings to the Regional and Account Manager;
  • Assisting with monthly site audits and providing feedback to clients and staff;
  • Supporting staff with understanding the site Bible folder content;
  • Advising on updates needed for the site Bible (RAMS, SSOW, COSHH sheets, etc);
  • Monitoring Health and Safety, including toolbox talks, training, and inductions, and reporting incidents;
  • Advising on portable appliance testing as required;
  • Monitoring Smart task usage and supporting team booking procedures;
  • Performing any other reasonable management requests.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous supervisory experience across multiple sites;
  • Time management and computer literacy essential;
  • Driving license essential;
  • Experience with cleaning machines (buffers, scrubbers, I-mops) beneficial;
  • Vocational and Technical Skills including IOSH certification minimum;
  • Awareness of Health & Safety issues;
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office;
  • Relevant NVQ in FM and experience in soft services, preferably cleaning and specialist cleaning.

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with clients and visitors at all levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Human Resource Management: Supervising and checking work quality of team members;
  • Physical Resource Management: Care of tools and equipment, property of client or Pareto;
  • Confidentiality: Maintaining confidentiality on all matters related to Pareto and the client;
  • Communication: Effective oral and written communication with clients, staff, contractors, and visitors;
  • Liaison: Representing Pareto professionally to clients and visitors, influencing operational efficiency;
  • Mental Demands & Decision Making: Applying judgment and problem-solving skills;
  • Concentration: Maintaining alertness, especially when working with machinery and adhering to safety protocols;

Work Hours: Flexibility required due to the nature of the business.
