Summary

Our Client, who is a large Lloyds Insurance Broker, has an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Insurance Broker to join their team in the Hitchin, Herts office. The purpose of the role is to service the insurance needs of customers, ensuring that documents are obtained and dispatched promptly, and all issues are dealt with quickly and effectively.

Main Duties:

1. Support management and colleagues throughout the company
2. Achieve a thorough understanding of the insurance basics, insurance principles, and insurance broking market
3. Answering telephone calls promptly and effectively dealing with all enquiries in a professional and efficient manner
4. Dealing with client enquiries
5. Telephoning and emailing with clients, insurers, third parties, and other associated persons
6. Generating system correspondence to clients, insurers, and third parties
7. Notifying insurers of changes and of new cover issued
8. Obtaining and submitting completed client documentation to insurers promptly
9. Processing, checking, and dispatching policy documentation to clients
10. Processing mid-term adjustments allocated
11. Issuing renewal review notices and documentation
12. Updating records following changes or amendments to risk details
13. Pursuing and securing outstanding renewal premiums
14. Creating new policy records for any new risks allocated

Key Skills Required:

1. On target or completed 3 A-Levels or equivalent (Grade C or above)
2. At least 5 GCSEs (grade C or above)
3. Strong IT skills
4. Effective time management skills
5. Ability to work within a team or individually
6. High attention to detail
7. Strong communication skills, written and verbal
