Summary
Our client, a large Lloyds Insurance Broker, has an excellent opportunity for an Apprentice Broker to join their growing Corporate Retail team in London. The purpose of the role is to service the insurance needs of customers, ensuring that documents are obtained and dispatched promptly, and all issues are dealt with quickly and effectively.
Main Duties:
- Support management and colleagues throughout the company.
- Achieve a thorough understanding of the insurance basics, insurance principles, and the insurance broking market.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and effectively deal with all enquiries in a professional and efficient manner.
- Handle client enquiries.
- Communicate via telephone and email with clients, insurers, third parties, and other associated persons.
- Generate system correspondence to clients, insurers, and third parties.
- Notify insurers of changes and new cover issued.
- Obtain and submit completed client documentation to insurers promptly.
- Process, check, and dispatch policy documentation to clients.
- Process mid-term adjustments allocated.
- Issue renewal review notices and documentation.
- Update records following changes or amendments to risk details.
- Pursue and secure outstanding renewal premiums.
- Create new policy records for any new risks allocated.
Key Skills Required:
- On target or completed 3 A-Levels or equivalent (Grade C or above).
- At least 5 GCSEs (grade C or above).
- Strong IT skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Ability to work within a team or individually.
- High attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
