Murray McIntosh are currently seeking an Antenna Engineer to work for a client of ours on a permanent basis as detailed below.
You will be working as part of the engineering team who design, develop & manufacture a range of antennas for IoT applications.
This is a great role for candidates who are passionate about engineering, taking projects from concept stage through to mass production, working closely with end clients across the globe.
Main responsibilities:
- Carrying out new product development with a focus on LTE, 5G, WIFI, BLE & GNSS bands.
- Working on custom products where clients require bespoke designs when an off the shelf solution doesn’t exist.
- Carrying out integration on SMD/PCB, attending design reviews to customers, testing and optimising layouts to ensure best performance.
- Carrying out testing, calibration, design & optimisation of a broad range of antennas whilst producing concise test reports.
- Liaising with customers to work through their technical requirements.
Skills:
- Understanding of antenna principles.
- PCB Design experience using Altium or similar software.
- Previous experience of antenna design simulations using CST studio suite (desired).
- Antenna testing experience (VNA, OTA, passive/active, open sky, antenna matching networks & other).
- 3D CAD modelling (Solidworks desired but other packages considered).
