Under minimal supervision, produces various monthly reports for the finance departments and acts as a quality assurance check for the CFO packet. Runs finance reports accurately and timely. Assists the Controller in the completion of year-end audit reports. Reviews the spending on Special Revenue Funds (SRFs) to ensure appropriateness and policy compliance. On an ad hoc basis, collaborates across finance areas on projects including process improvements and system upgrades.
Essential Functions
- Manages all SRF approvals in line with policy. (10%)
- Handles SRF activity setup in HRIS systems. (10%)
- Maintains reporting for SRF funds, including customer and ad hoc reports. (10%)
- Acts as liaison with departments regarding SRF funds during meetings. (10%)
- Ensures quality and completeness of the monthly CFO packet. (10%)
- Develops and manages additional reports for the finance team. (10%)
- Supports the Controller in compiling and writing year-end audit reports. (10%)
- Prepares various monthly and quarterly reports accurately and timely, utilizing Excel, Lawson Add-ins, and IT resources to streamline processes. (10%)
- Explores opportunities to enhance report creation processes with the team. (5%)
- Performs ad hoc projects, including bond project funds management, system testing, and upgrades. (5%)
- Collaborates with General Accounting, Grant Accounting, and business partners on projects. (5%)
- Ensures data procedures are well documented and backup-trained to facilitate cross-training and prevent gaps. (5%)
Education
Bachelor's Degree required.
Work Experience
4-6 years of experience as a financial analyst or accountant required. Experience in preparing, reviewing, and modifying financial reports, analyzing data, and ensuring data accuracy required. Healthcare experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Detail-oriented with a focus on process improvement. Ability to quickly understand operations and financial components for analysis. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, report writing, and working with databases. Experience with Lawson preferred.
