STS Aviation Services is rapidly growing, and we are looking for new team members to be part of our journey as the leading UK MRO. This is an exciting time to join the STS Aviation Services business and be part of our growing base maintenance operations in Manchester. As the Check Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of the allocated maintenance inputs, ensuring regulatory compliance and overseeing maintenance tasks.
Job Duties:
- Deliver allocated maintenance inputs and projects to schedule
- Assist the Base Maintenance Management team as required
- Line management of staff within your responsibility
- Issue certificates of release to service for specific aircraft types within your scope
- Allocate tasks and responsibilities within your work area
- Maintain a log of progress against tasks
- Provide daily production briefings
- Update senior management as needed
- Develop solutions to deliver maintenance within budget constraints
- Ensure daily progress reports for aircraft under maintenance
- Maintain the technical integrity of all work under your control
- Oversee conduct and punctuality of staff
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas
- Ensure husbandry and tool audits are carried out and recorded
- Conduct formal appraisals and advise on training and development
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed
- Carry out DQS self-audits and coordinate responses
- Support quality audits and closure plans
- Assist with budget creation and management
Basic Requirements:
- Hold a Category B license with C certification by aircraft type
- Possess A330/A320 type ratings
- Minimum 5 years of Base Maintenance experience as a B1 and/or B2 certifying engineer
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Knowledge of Part 145 Aviation Legislation
- Flexible and adaptable to fast-changing environments
- Strong communication, management, and interpersonal skills
