Join a world-class aerospace manufacturer in South Sheffield as a skilled Aerospace Welder (Manual and Automated). We’re working with this innovative engineering business to find a welder with strong manual skills and experience operating semi-automated welding equipment for circumferential and longitudinal welds. About the role:

You’ll work as part of a team to deliver high-quality welded components meeting aerospace standards. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing TIG and MIG welding on aerospace components to precise specifications.
• Operating semi-automated circumferential and longitudinal welding machines.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and welding symbols accurately.
• Inspecting welds to ensure they meet NADCAP, AS9100, and internal quality standards.
• Preparing and aligning metal parts for welding.
• Maintaining welding equipment for peak efficiency.
• Identifying and resolving issues during welding (material defects, equipment faults).
• Collaborating with colleagues to meet production targets.
• Keeping detailed records of jobs, materials, and issues.
• Staying updated with new welding technologies and practices.

About you:

You should have:

• At least 5 years of proven welding experience (MIG and TIG).
• Ability to meet production targets.
• Experience with semi-automated welding techniques.

Desirable skills:

• Basic understanding of lean principles (5S).
• Experience in the aerospace industry.
