About our client: Our client is an accountancy practice based in Harrow, Wanstead, and Central London covering all of London and its suburbs. Established practice with over 25 years of experience. 4 Partner firm – mainly ACCA Qualified Registered Auditors and Chartered Certified Accountants.
The role:
- Possible start date: ASAP
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
- Total working hours: 35
What you will do in your working day:
- Bookkeeping – maintenance of client records on excel spreadsheets and Sage Accounts, including sales and purchase invoice controls, receipts and payment analysis, bank reconciliations, and VAT reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of company accounts, preparation of various working papers, maintenance of client files, and reporting to seniors at the agreed stage of completion
- VAT – preparation of quarterly VAT Returns for small-sized companies under the supervision of seniors
- Payroll – preparation of monthly payroll
- Liaise with clients to ensure record delivery and accounts information in a timely manner
- General administration – Provide general support to Senior Accountants where necessary
The training you will receive:
- All training is undertaken online, through a combination of self-paced eLearning and live online classes
- Functional skills in English & maths if required
- Potential full-time role on successful completion of this apprenticeship
Qualifications required:
- GCSE or equivalent English (Grade A* – C 9/4) – Desirable
