12-Month Work Placement – Building Surveyor, London

Our Intern & Placement programme is designed to give you hands-on insight into our work and help develop skills and knowledge within your chosen field. Supported by targeted training, the programme is based on Arcadis\’ core values, providing both technical training and support for your personal and professional development. You will be involved in real projects and client interactions, gaining diverse experiences during your 10-12 week internship or 12-month placement.

Role in Building Surveying

As part of our Building Surveying team, you will survey various commercial and residential buildings, participate in refurbishment projects, and handle professional tasks such as dilapidations claims. Our work spans multiple sectors and scales, offering opportunities to advise on building conditions and improvement methods. The role involves site visits, inspections, and report writing.

Qualifications & Experience

• Accepted Degrees: BSc or MSc in Building Surveying
• Currently working towards a relevant degree
• Demonstrate skills such as resilience, creativity, analytical thinking, and teamwork
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to apply technical knowledge to stakeholder engagement
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required (virtual working embraced where possible)
