We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Operative to join a busy manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for preparing and finishing components to a high standard, ensuring parts meet strict quality and dimensional requirements before progressing through production.
The successful candidate will have experience working with engineered components and be confident using a range of hand tools, measuring equipment, and finishing techniques within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out finishing and preparation work on machined metal components
- Remove excess material, sharp edges, and surface imperfections using hand and power tools
- Interpret engineering drawings and work instructions
- Inspect components to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
- Use measuring equipment
- Work closely with machining and quality teams to maintain production standards
- Ensure all work is completed within required timescales
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Follow all health & safety and company quality procedures
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, finishing, or component preparation role
- Experience working within engineering or precision manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
