The Role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a busy engineering team, carrying out both planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown repairs to ensure machinery and equipment remain fully operational.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills, with a focus on minimising downtime and driving continuous improvements across the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Service, repair and maintain CNC lathes, milling machines and associated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
- Minimise machine downtime and maximise production efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement and shop floor improvement projects.
- Assist with general facilities maintenance when required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with Health & Safety procedures.
Skills & Experience
- Proven maintenance experience within a CNC manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability.
* Experience working with
- Pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Gearboxes, pumps and motors.
- Three-phase electrical systems.
- Control panels, fault finding and repairs.
- Compressors and associated equipment.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Facilities maintenance experience.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
Qualifications
- Time-served and qualified Electrical, Mechanical or Multi-Skilled Engineer.
- IPAF and Forklift licences are advantageous.
- IEE Regulations qualification would be beneficial.
- Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Mazak/Mazatrol or Haas controls would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of PLCs, automation and control systems would be an advantage.
