This is a fantastic entry-level position for a numerically minded, analytical individual looking to begin their career in legal costs drafting.
The ideal candidate will be degree-educated, with a genuine interest in law and working with numbers. Perhaps you’re a law graduate with a flair for Excel and a methodical mindset, or a Trainee Legal Cashier? If so, this role could be your perfect match.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Draft and file electronic bills of costs for assessment in County and Senior Courts
- Prepare OPG 105 & 102 reports
- Assist in the preparation of documents and e-bundles for assessment
- Provide general support to the Costs Team
- Work closely with a senior Cost Lawyer to gain hands-on experience
- Benefit from structured, on-the-job training and a sponsored professional qualification (CLPQ)
What You’ll Need:
- A degree (Law preferred but not essential)
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail
- Confidence using Excel and a well-organised approach to meet deadlines
