About the role

Working closely with a senior legal professional, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operations and providing high-level administrative support. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Complex diary management and coordination of meetings, appointments and deadlines
  • Managing inboxes and correspondence on behalf of the fee earner
  • Preparing, formatting and proofreading legal documents, reports and correspondence
  • Organising travel arrangements, itineraries and accommodation
  • Preparing meeting packs, agendas and supporting documentation
  • Monitoring key dates, deadlines and actions to ensure nothing is missed
  • Opening, maintaining and closing client files in accordance with compliance procedures
  • Assisting with billing, expenses and general financial administration
  • Handling confidential and sensitive information with complete discretion
  • Managing competing priorities and proactively identifying solutions
  • Acting as a trusted gatekeeper and key point of contact
  • Taking ownership of administrative processes and driving efficiencies

This is a fully office-based role, offering a varied workload and the opportunity to become an integral part of a close-knit team.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will be an experienced PA, Executive Assistant or Senior Legal Secretary with the confidence to work autonomously and provide first-class support. Applicants should possess:

  • Previous experience as a PA, Executive Assistant, Senior Legal Secretary or Personal Assistant - ideally within a legal environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to manage upwards and confidently challenge where necessary
  • A proactive and highly self-motivated approach
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • The ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality
