This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, friendly and supportive specialist team working on Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence matters.

You'll receive full on-the-job training, with opportunities to develop your knowledge and progress further down the line.

This is a serious and highly focused role.

The cases can involve sensitive and complex circumstances, including Personal Injury, Clinical Negligence and Child Protection matters, so accuracy, spelling and attention to detail are absolutely essential.

What will you be doing?

You'll be responsible for helping to build cases from start to finish, collating and reviewing medical records and ensuring large volumes of information are organised accurately and clearly.

Your duties will include

  • Collating and organising medical records
  • Sorting and scanning records into the appropriate sections
  • Creating indexes and paginating documentation
  • Preparing clear and easy-to-navigate case bundles
  • Arranging medical information chronologically
  • Identifying important information relevant to Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence matters
  • Identifying information relating to causation
  • Assisting with reports outlining the strengths and weaknesses of cases
  • Handling highly sensitive and confidential information

Who are they looking for?

You don't necessarily need to come from one particular background. Previous experience working with legal or medical records would be highly advantageous.

Relevant backgrounds could include Legal Assistants, Paralegals, Case Workers, Nurses, Paralegal Nurses, Ward Clerks or Hospital Administrators.

More importantly, you'll need to be exceptionally accurate, organised and comfortable working through detailed information.

You'll have excellent spelling and written communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to learn quickly.

You'll be joining a close-knit team of approximately 5–6 people who genuinely support one another.

The team is friendly and approachable, while the working environment remains quiet and focused due to the serious and sensitive nature of the cases being handled.
