TMX VettaFi is expanding its European footprint, and we are seeking an energetic Sales Associate, Index Distribution to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Index Business Development, this individual will interface with clients and the Index Product team to advance our European business development efforts. This is a highly collaborative, fast-paced role ideal for someone with 1–3 years of financial services experience who wants to build a deep understanding of indexing, ETFs, and institutional asset management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the end-to-end proposal development process, including drafting customized commercial proposals, responding to RFPs, and ensuring timely, high-quality submissions.
  • Partnering with the distribution and global marketing teams to produce, customize, and maintain localized client-ready collateral (e.g., sales presentations, product briefs, and meeting decks).
  • Conducting proactive research on European prospect networks (ETF issuers, banks, institutional asset managers, asset owners), mapping out organizational decision-makers, and supporting the pre-meeting preparation.
  • Taking full ownership of data integrity in our CRM, ensuring all client interactions, contact details, meeting notes, and deal pipelines are logged and kept up to date.
  • Coordinating the drafting of licensing agreements with internal teams (including legal and finance) and clients.
  • Serving as a key point of contact for day-to-day client queries, managing client onboarding workflows, and assisting with the coordination of regional client webinars and events.
  • Cultivating and expanding a network of contacts within the European asset management, ETF, and private banking ecosystems.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in financial services (e.g., market data, index providers, asset management, fintech, or investment banking), preferably in a sales support, client service, or business operations role.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint / Google Slides and Excel / Google Sheets; experience with CRM platforms (such as HubSpot or Salesforce) is highly preferred.
  • Highly tech-savvy, with practical experience leveraging generative AI tools (such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) as a power user to accelerate research, draft copy, and optimize daily operational workflows.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and project management skills; ability to juggle multiple operational deadlines with ease.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to draft professional, polished emails, proposals, and client materials.
  • Fluency in English is required. Professional proficiency in at least one additional European language (e.g., German, French, Italian) is a strong asset.
  • An entrepreneurial, 'can-do' mindset with a strong desire to learn, adapt, and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in pursuing or progress toward professional designations (such as CFA) is a plus.
