TMT Finance, the highly respected business intelligence and data provider for Digital Infrastructure M&A and financing, is looking for a Reporter to join its expanding editorial team based in London. The candidate will be a hungry, scoop-driven reporter, covering real-time debt financing activity in the buoyant European and Middle East & African Digital Infrastructure market. They will work as part of a fast-growing global Editorial team, and as part of a dedicated global debt coverage team, providing real-time, market-leading scoops on project finance, leveraged finance, acquisition finance and securitisation within digital infrastructure.

TMT Finance’s editorial team develops trusted relationships with senior leaders and dealmakers based on off-the-record conversations and deep sector insight, and regularly breaks news on large, complex, market-defining transactions. Financial analysis and data is provided in partnership with our in-house research team.

The successful candidate will build an outstanding book of contacts to consistently break exclusive and complex deal stories, developing deep expertise across debt markets and a strong pipeline of forward-looking intelligence. For the right candidate, there are clear opportunities for progression within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help deliver a sector-leading business intelligence service
  • Personally break 5 exclusive off-diary news stories per week
  • Build and maintain a strong network of senior-level market contacts
  • Consistently outperform major financial news competitors on exclusive stories
  • Develop content that supports growth of the subscriber base
  • Proof and edit copy from other team members
  • Collaborate closely with a global team of reporters and editors
  • Work with Research, Sales, Marketing and Events teams
  • Attend in-person meetings, conferences and industry events in the UK and internationally

What we are looking for

  • At least 1–3 years’ experience reporting on proprietary financial or business news
  • Strong interest in debt markets, financing structures and M&A
  • Desire to build a career in financial journalism within a high-growth sector
  • Proven ability or strong ambition to break exclusive stories
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Strong written and spoken English
  • Additional languages beneficial

  • Experience in TMT and/or debt markets (DCM, leveraged finance, project finance) advantageous
