This role supports the smooth supply of packaging products to McDonald’s throughout the region. Working in close collaboration with the Category team, this role focuses on providing operational support, coordination across internal teams, category analytics and driving continuous improvement activities. Key deliverables include supplier performance tracking, risk mitigation, data insights and development and cross-functional collaboration.
Job Scope and Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous supply of packaging products at the required quality and cost, in line with client standards.
- Support the operation and development of tools such as the Risk Register, iValua, Power BI to automate and enhance management of packaging categories across Europe.
- Support supplier onboarding cross-functionally to ensure compliance and timely approval.
- Assist in the implementation of Source-to-Contract (S2C) processes and maintain records related to contracts and commercial terms.
- Prepare, compile and report data for supplier performance monitoring, inventory levels, and promotional activities, including price, capacity and contingency, and other important initiatives such as Traqtion.
- Monitor and update supply data using systems such as Power BI, iValua, and CSA, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Work closely with Sourcing Managers and Sr Sourcing Managers to support assured supply processes, tracking promotional activities and supplier readiness.
- Assist in the escalation and resolution of operational issues by gathering relevant data, preparing reports, and communicating updates as required.
Risk Management & Contingency Planning
- Update and help maintain the regional Risk Register with the latest supplier and market data.
- Support the team in identifying supply risks and contribute to contingency planning activities such as capcon.
Supplier & Stakeholder Engagement
- Help maintain positive relationships with suppliers and internal commercial teams by managing information flow and documentation.
- Coordinate communications and help track commercial input for market requests, supporting alignment with Senior Sourcing Managers.
- Assist in collecting and analysing data to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and cost optimisation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Work with cross-functional teams to collect data on spend forecasting, savings, supplier financial health, and compliance.
- Support the preparation of operational insights and reports to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
- Assist in ensuring that spend forecasts and savings pipelines are accurately maintained and up to date.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ORGANIZATION
- 1-2 years of supply chain exposure, sourcing, procurement, or a related field; Solid understanding of supply chain basics and interest in sourcing operations within packaging, FMCG, or QSR sectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with S2C process and tools, iValua preferred.
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Fluent in English. Additional European languages are an advantage.
