Job Purpose

To provide assistance and support to the Payroll & Accounts Department with all admin related tasks, to assist with overflow workload, and to provide cover during periods of absence or annual leave.

Experience in using Sage and Xero is essential

Main Duties and Responsibilities(This list is not exhaustive and other areas of responsibility may be included)

  • To assist and support with all admin related tasks as required

  • To help with the overflow of workload

  • To help cover Payroll and Accounts when in periods of absence or annual leave

  • To be familiar with processing payroll payments and pensions information for employees and any related documents/spreadsheets including absences and holidays, PAYE etc

  • Filing paperwork.

  • PO processing & requests.

  • Complete wages and expenses journals

  • Collate paperwork in relation to expenses and update the relevant expenses spreadsheet.

  • Supporting other team members in dealing with suppliers, imports, customer platform invoicing, and filing.

  • Adhere to the company\’s financial policies and procedures.

  • Answers questions and provides assistance to other staff members, customers, and clients as needed.

  • Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets.

  • Invoicing on Xero

  • Invoicing on customer portals (training will be provided)

  • Help manage the workload of colleagues within the Accounts Department.

  • Health Insurance processing

  • Implementation of procedures required to facilitate the above and making recommendations to management

  • Processing holidays and pension requirements of the companies, ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements, submission of returns and liaising with third party authorities when required

  • Conducting additional ad hoc duties as may be required in meeting business needs, relative to the purpose of the role and needs of the Company

  • To comply with all Health & Safety requirements applicable to the role

Essential

  • Must have previous experience in accounting and payroll software: Xero and Sage.

  • Computer literate with the ability to learn new systems, and be proficient in various IT packages, including Excel spreadsheets

  • Organised and ability to plan and prioritise your own workload

  • Must be self motivated with a can-do attitude

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism

  • Ability to work as part of a team and be respectful to other colleagues

Hours of Work

20 hours per week, days and hours to be agreed

Pay & Benefits

  • Β£14.50 per hour

  • 29 days annual leave entitlement per holiday year Pro-Rata, inclusive of bank holidays, with length of service holiday accrual

  • Company pension, 3% employer and 5% employee
