A leading UK manufacturer of hygienic furniture and equipment is looking for a CAD Design Engineer to join their growing team.
You’ll work on stainless‑steel fabricated products, supporting both new product development and improvements to existing ranges.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce Solid Works models, drawings and BOMs for standard and bespoke products
- Apply Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles to optimise fabrication
- Support production with practical, manufacturable designs
- Contribute to new product development and continuous improvement
- Maintain drawing standards, revision control and CAD data accuracy
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Development and Production teams
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong Solid Works experience
- Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication and welded assemblies
- Experience applying DFM principles
- Ability to produce accurate drawings and BOMs
- Strong attention to detail and self‑managing approach
Desirable
- Experience with stainless steel (304/316)
- Understanding of hygienic design
- Background in Food, Pharma, Lab or Medical sectors
- SME experience
