The Role
You’ll be responsible for drafting, negotiating and completing leases, licences and other property agreements, managing transactions from instruction through to completion. You’ll support acquisitions, disposals and due diligence, maintain accurate legal records, monitor key lease events, and ensure compliance with legislation and Land Registry requirements. The role also involves reviewing tenant applications, supporting dispute resolution, and preparing reports and briefings for senior management.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience in commercial property law or property management
- Proven ability to draft and negotiate leases and related documentation
- Solid understanding of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 and commercial property legislation
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to interpret legal documents and communicate implications clearly
Desirable
- CILEX or equivalent legal qualification
- Experience within commercial estates, business parks or local authority portfolios
- Knowledge of Land Registry processes and property management systems
