You’ll work in a small, hands-on engineering team where you can genuinely influence product design, collaborate across departments, and see your ideas move from CAD to prototype to production.

The Role

  • 3D CAD design of large assemblies including sheet metal, plastics, piping systems and electrical harnesses
  • Producing detailed manufacturing drawings, calculations and technical documentation
  • Developing concept models and supporting new product development
  • Testing and evaluating design concepts through CAD modelling and prototype assessment
  • Managing engineering documentation and updates within a PDM system
  • Supporting BoMs, manuals, diagrams and component specifications
  • Working closely with Production, Quality, Sales, Marketing and suppliers
  • Providing input during prototype builds and structured validation activities

  • Detail-oriented, organised and able to work independently
  • Confident producing drawings, documentation and engineering calculations
  • A proactive problem-solver with strong analytical skills
  • Comfortable collaborating across multidisciplinary teams
  • Experienced in sheet metal design or manufacturing processes (desirable)
  • Familiar with SolidWorks PDM (preferred)

A relevant engineering degree or technical qualification, plus around five years’ experience, would be ideal — but equivalent experience will also be considered.

What You’ll Gain

  • The chance to work across the full concept-to-production cycle
  • A varied, hands-on engineering role with real ownership
  • Exposure to prototype builds, testing and supplier engagement
  • A supportive team environment with cross-functional collaboration
