This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of a growing finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate management accounts, insightful financial reporting and analysis that helps shape business decisions. Responsibilities include:

  • Reconcile accounts and balance sheets, investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Assist with Profit & Loss analysis and provide support with financial queries

What will you do as an Assistant Management Accountant?

  • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts in a timely manner
  • Reconcile intercompany balances and loan accounts
  • Review company credit card analysis and maintain controls
  • Prepare monthly sales data and reporting for key customers
  • Maintain monthly rebate registers and approve customer repayment invoices
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns

What do you need as an Assistant Management Accountant?

  • Previous experience preparing or supporting management accounts
  • Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Experience with journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage priorities and deadlines
  • Knowledge of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) would be advantageous
  • AAT qualified or equivalent experience
