What will you do as an Accounts Assistant?

  • End-to-end purchase ledge, including invoice processing, coding and approvals
  • Maintain supplier accounts, resolve queries and reconcile supplier statements
  • Cash flow reporting, month-end activities, accruals and aged creditors
  • Ensure accurate coding across nominal, departmental and project cost centres
  • Support credit control activities, including customer statements and payment allocations
  • Assist with VAT returns, audit preparation and stock takes

What do you need as an Accounts Assistant?

  • Previous experience within Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance processes
  • AAT qualified or studying towards AAT (desirable)
  • Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
