What will you do as an Accounts Assistant?
- End-to-end purchase ledge, including invoice processing, coding and approvals
- Maintain supplier accounts, resolve queries and reconcile supplier statements
- Cash flow reporting, month-end activities, accruals and aged creditors
- Ensure accurate coding across nominal, departmental and project cost centres
- Support credit control activities, including customer statements and payment allocations
- Assist with VAT returns, audit preparation and stock takes
What do you need as an Accounts Assistant?
- Previous experience within Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and finance processes
- AAT qualified or studying towards AAT (desirable)
- Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise effectively
