As Project Buyer, you’ll play a critical role in supporting project procurement, handling the full process from sourcing materials and issuing purchase orders to ensuring timely delivery. This position focuses on delivering cost-effective procurement solutions, working closely with suppliers and internal teams to keep projects on track., * Sourcing and procuring materials and services from the Approved Vendor List (AVL), ensuring compliance with company procedures and code of conduct.

  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders, ensuring timely supplier selection and optimal order commitments in line with project requirements.

  • Implementing and managing purchasing strategies, including price negotiations, claims resolution, and handling technical/commercial variations.

  • Managing post-order administration, including variations, expediting, inspection, invoice queries, and performance feedback for close-out.

  • Ensuring accurate use of the ERP system for procurement activities and maintaining procurement status reports from award to close-out.

  • Providing detailed procurement updates and reports to key stakeholders, highlighting risks and proposing mitigations for schedule delays.

  • Representing the Supply Chain function at meetings, providing progress updates and ensuring alignment with project plans.

  • Fostering strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and clients, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  • Reviewing purchase requirements to confirm sufficient information is available and agree on delivery timelines with project teams.

  • Tracking multiple purchase orders and commodities across various projects, clients, and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

  • Hands-on experience in project procurement, with a focus on meeting strict deadlines and delivering cost-effective solutions.
