TML Recruitment are exclusively partnered with a global real estate consultancy and one of the biggest names in rating. We are working directly alongside this firm to search for a Partner level Business Rates professional to act the future lead of the London operations. Working directly underneath the national head, you will help deliver their ambitious growth plans with a view to leading the team. This role will suit someone already at Director/Partner level that is looking for the next level within a reputable firm that can offer significant career trajectory. Our client are active and looking to grow by hiring best in class whilst continuing to work with some fantastic clients.
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
Working closely with the National Head your role will be to help grow and develop the business unit both strategically and in time or now (dependent on the hire) from a leadership position. Working toward set goals and financial targets set by the National head, you will have access to a number of high quality clients from International retail brands, to major leisure and hospitality companies, industrial, self storage and general commercial office clients.
The work will be incredibly varied focussing on both investor and occupier clients. Due to how busy the firm is, your work load will be on a national basis, but with a large focus on Central London/South East. Whilst the client has a market leading client base, there is always a drive to develop more business and this will be key under the strategy of the team.
WHAT IS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESS?
- Substantial rating appeal experience, including the preparation and submission of checks, challenges and appeals. Experience of settlement or appearance at Valuation Tribunal, and/or Lands Trib
- unal.Clear understanding of business rates legislation and cas
- e lawIdeally a Member or Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or member or IRRV qualified and may be a Registered Valuer.
- Proven track record of building and developing client portfolio relationships.
- A keen interest in developing a business unit and a team first mentality.
- A want to mentor/lead a team in the future.
