Operational Real Estate General Practice Surveyor – Lease Advisory, Valuation & Agency. We are partnered with a long-established, people-focused property consultancy that has been operating nationally for several decades. Our client is looking to further grow their extensive operational real estate arm that focuses on leisure and automotive with an experienced hire at either Associate Director or Director to work across L&T, Agency and some valuation instructions (where appropriate).

The business provides a full range of professional and agency services to a broad client base across the UK and continues to invest heavily in its people and long-term growth, with this role offering excellent progression in the selected candidate's career. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The General Practice team acts for both landlord and tenant clients, delivering a broad range of commercial property services. The role will primarily focus on lease advisory and agency work with some valuation instructions keeping the workload interesting and diverse. Alongside servicing existing clients, the successful individual will be encouraged to contribute to business development and the generation of new instructions, so if you are someone that views themselves as wanting to build client relationships, this is a great role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals and lease regears
  • Acting as Expert Witness on rent review and lease renewal disputes
  • Undertaking Red Book and non-Red Book valuations
  • Assisting with disposal and acquisition projects
  • Developing relationships with existing clients and targeting new opportunities
  • Attending client meetings and working closely with the lease advisory team
  • Producing clear, detailed written reports

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

  • MRICS qualified
  • Several years’ experience advising on rent reviews and lease renewals
  • Registered Valuer status
  • Strong IT skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
