Senior Business Development Manager – Disputes
We are supporting a leading international law firm in the search for a Senior Business Development Manager to drive the growth of their Dispute Resolution practice group – a flagship area central to the firm’s long-term strategy.
This is a key leadership role with responsibility for shaping and delivering the group’s business development strategy across the UK and international markets, working closely with senior partners and stakeholders. You will also manage a small team, embedding best practice across BD and marketing activities.
What we are looking for
We are seeking an established senior BD professional who:
- Has significant business development and marketing experience within legal or professional services – with strong Dispute Resolution knowledge as essential
- Brings a proven track record of designing and delivering innovative strategies that drive revenue growth and strengthen client relationships
- Is adept at collaborating with senior partners, fee earners, and business services teams to build cross-selling opportunities and deliver commercial outcomes
- Can confidently manage and mentor a team, while maintaining a strategic, high-level view of priorities
- Combines analytical skills with creative thinking, translating market insights into compelling campaigns and opportunities
Key responsibilities
- Lead and implement business development initiatives that directly contribute to client acquisition, relationship building, and revenue growth
- Partner with fee earners, Operations, Knowledge, and Marketing teams to identify market trends and opportunities
- Enhance the group’s external profile across the UK and internationally through targeted BD and marketing programmes
- Line manage two practice group specialists (BD & Marketing Manager and Executive), ensuring a high-performance culture
