An opportunity for an experienced and organised family legal secretary to join a highly regarded and established solicitors’ firm. The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to fee earners within the family department.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, format and proofread correspondence and legal documents and keep accurate and up to date records on the firm’s case management system.
- Liaise with clients and provide updates on progress of their cases.
- Answer and make phone calls and manage email communications.
- Schedule appointments and manage diaries.
- Assist with billing, time recording, and other administrative tasks.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal procedures.
Person requirements
- One year’s previous experience as a legal secretary essential.
- Experience with digital dictation and audio typing preferred.
- Excellent typing and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- An organised and methodical approach to working with excellent attention to detail.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills providing a customer focused, quality service at all times.
