Discover the Role
The Product Director – HR & Payroll owns the product and its delivery approach, taking a funded initiative, whether a standalone solution or a feature/module within an existing product, from definition and build through to launch and adoption.
This is a global mandate, ensuring the product supports HR & Payroll service delivery across TMF offices, delivers business value, is operationally viable, and provides a high-quality user and client experience.
Acting as the single point of ownership, the Product Director shapes the product roadmap and scope, aligns stakeholders, assesses risk, and drives successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product definition for each initiative, including roadmap, scope, and success criteria for the business and end user.
- Own the product's suitability and adoption as a service delivery mechanism across all TMF offices served by the service line, not only the market for which it was initially developed.
- Determine, for each funded idea, whether it should become a new standalone solution or be integrated as a feature/module into an existing product, and own that decision as well as the delivery.
- Advocate for a high-quality user and client experience, whether delivering a new solution or extending an existing one.
- Own risk assessment and stakeholder alignment for each initiative, identifying and resolving conflicts before they impact delivery.
- Direct the Product Development Lead's translation of product intent into a build‑ready specification and retain accountability for ensuring the build aligns with that intent.
- Lead the business side of delivery by shaping strategy, securing stakeholder support, and owning the roll‑out end‑to‑end, including training and go‑live readiness across all offices in which the service line operates.
- Personally lead one build and deployment when managing multiple concurrent initiatives, while maintaining direct involvement in delivery.
- Oversee Project Managers responsible for other concurrent service‑line builds and integrate their timelines into a cohesive delivery plan.
- Identify where AI can meaningfully enhance the product and ensure relevant capabilities are incorporated into the product definition.
- Maintain current knowledge of the end users and business stakeholders affected by the product, including how they engage with existing solutions across geographies.
- Monitor relevant market, regulatory, and competitive developments that could affect product direction or prioritization.
- Own accountability for outcomes as well as outputs.
Launching a solution is necessary but not sufficient; the Product Manager is accountable for whether the initiative delivers the intended business outcomes globally, not only in the initial launch market.
- Partner with the Product Director, ensuring insights from delivery and adoption inform portfolio decisions and future funding priorities.
- Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or technology delivery, ideally with exposure to AI or automation initiatives.
- 2+ years of experience leading cross‑functional delivery, working with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proven experience translating business problems into product definitions and specifications and leading solutions through implementation and adoption.
- Strong understanding of AI capabilities and their application to service delivery and product design. Hands‑on AI development experience is not required.
- Experience delivering or supporting products across multiple offices, markets, or geographies, ideally in a global organization.
- Strong experience managing risk, stakeholder alignment, priorities, and trade‑offs across multiple initiatives.
- Experience overseeing or directing Project Managers or delivery leads is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field; MBA or equivalent practical experience is desirable.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
