Kibworth Mead Academy, located in the pretty Leicestershire village of Kibworth Beauchamp, is one of five secondary schools in The Mead Educational Trust (TMET). Since joining TMET, real improvements have been seen in our school, something reflected in our very recent Good Ofsted inspection.

TMET is a growing partnership of primary and secondary schools situated in the East Midlands, which provides its schools access to high quality professional development and outstanding educational networks, such as Rushey Mead and Castle Mead Academies.

Our aim at Kibworth Mead is that all students receive the opportunities to be successful, confident, and responsible young people equipped with academic qualifications as well as the personal and social skills to enable them to make a positive difference to their community and the wider world. To achieve this, we have three core values which underpin all aspects of our school:

  • Work Hard – We promote resilience, positivity, and determination so our students learn that success needs hard work, effort and they develop the strength to persevere.
  • Be Kind – We aim to develop respectful, tolerant students who are kind to everyone.
  • Be Proud – We aim to develop a sense of pride in our students. A pride in their achievements, conduct and most importantly themselves.

As well as developing these values in our students, we aim to provide an environment whereby all our staff can flourish by supporting both their professional development and well-being, something highlighted in our recent inspection when inspectors commented ‘Staff are proud and motivated to work at this school and feel that their well-being and workload are well considered’.

We are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to enhance our students’ education, life skills, and emotional well-being and to support students who experience barriers towards learning so that they can achieve the best of which they are capable.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is:

  • Passionate about inclusion and supporting students to achieve their potential
  • Believes in equality of opportunity and has high expectations of students
  • Willing to learn and work part of our team
  • Going to contribute to the ethos of our school
  • A calm and understanding personality

Closing Date: 9am Monday 29th June. We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is found.
