Opportunity for an ambitious Vice Principal to hone their craft and make a positive difference, as part of The Mead Educational Trust.
We focus on being brilliant in the basics at Castle Mead Academy: doing the simple things really well, so that teachers can teach, and scholars can learn. Castle Mead is an Outstanding school, and we seek an exceptional Vice Principal to join our team.
We have extremely high expectations because we know, without exception, that every child is capable of excellence and will flourish in our school. Our teachers are passionate subject experts who provide our scholars with an excellent education across the curriculum. Our routines are designed to ensure a calm and orderly atmosphere and we place maximum emphasis on excellent behaviour and a thoughtful caring attitude to each other. This is supported by a strong pastoral system which ensures we get to know every child well. We build a strong sense of belonging in our school and this is underpinned by the value we place on relationships between staff and scholars.
At Castle Mead, we are relentless in our efforts to make the biggest positive difference possible. Over the past six years, we have been growing a community of excellence in the heart of our city. We are immensely proud of our achievements so far but are driven by a commitment to keep on getting better: as we look ahead to our seventh year, we are incredibly excited about this next phase of growth and look forward to you being a big part of that journey.
This is an opportunity for a current or aspiring leader who:
- Is unapologetically ambitious on behalf of our young people
- Has a relentless drive to fulfil the maxim that ‘everyone is capable of excellence’
- Is knowledgeable, passionate, kind and can motivate and inspire others
The successful candidate will grow alongside our other teachers and leaders as part of our excellent team and have the opportunity to help us to keep on getting better.
Please submit your application by Friday 6th February 2026. For further information, a confidential discussion, to book a visit to Castle Mead Academy or any technical queries please contact Kirsty Gunn, Office Manager.
