As a Senior Post Production Producer within Sky Post Production's Planning team, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering some of the UK's leading non-scripted entertainment and factual programming. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Planning, you will lead the planning and delivery of complex post production projects, working closely with production teams, operational departments and creative stakeholders to ensure outstanding client service and successful programme delivery. This senior role combines operational excellence with exceptional people management, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and psychologically safe environment.
What you'll do
- Lead the planning and delivery of multiple non‑scripted post‑production projects from initial brief through to final delivery, ensuring productions are delivered on time, on budget and to Sky’s quality standards.
- Build trusted relationships with Production Managers, commissioners, suppliers and internal stakeholders, acting as a senior point of contact and proactively managing expectations throughout the production lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with Planning, Resource Management and operational teams to optimise schedules, balance competing priorities and make informed decisions that support both production requirements and the wider Post Production business.
- Lead with integrity by creating an inclusive, respectful and supportive working environment, carefully considering team wellbeing, individual development, workload, behaviours and psychological safety when allocating and managing resources.
- Mentor and support Post Producers and Coordinators, championing best practice, encouraging continuous learning and helping develop future talent across the department.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, services and ways of working, supporting innovation across Sky Post Production.
Essential criteria
- Extensive experience delivering post production for non‑scripted television, with a strong background across entertainment and/or factual programming within a post‑production facility.
- Excellent understanding of the end‑to‑end post‑production process, with proven experience managing multiple productions, stakeholders, schedules and competing priorities simultaneously.
- Demonstrable leadership experience, with a collaborative and ethical approach to managing people that places equal importance on delivery, wellbeing, inclusion, professional development and positive behaviours.
- Outstanding communication, stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to influence, challenge constructively and resolve complex operational issues.
- A calm, organised and solutions‑focused approach, with the ability to make balanced decisions under pressure while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Desirable skills and experience
- Experience working within a multi‑client post‑production environment.
- Knowledge of post‑production resource planning, facility scheduling and operational workflow optimisation.
