Overview
The Institute of Art and Ideas is seeking an enthusiastic Media Production Trainee to join the team of our online media platform IAI.TV. The role is based in central London with the option to work from home. You will work closely with the Media Production team and be trained to edit within a professional workflow alongside experienced editors.
Responsibilities
- Perform multi-camera editing of live debates and talks filmed at HowTheLightGetsIn and other IAI events.
- Contribute to social media campaigns and prepare a range of material, from festival trailers to thematic videos and podcasts.
- Produce high-quality online content for release on our streaming platform, YouTube channel, podcast platform, and social media profiles.
- Join the team at online and live events, helping to create new and engaging video content.
- Develop into a senior member of the film crew during festivals, including manning cameras and helping to organise crew schedules and kit hire.
- Progress in post-production and live event production through on-the-job training and experience.
- Demonstrate experience editing with Adobe Premiere Pro.
Qualifications
- Strong enthusiasm for media production and a proactive approach to learning.
- Experience editing with Adobe Premiere Pro is required.
- Excellent camera skills and the ability to operate as part of a film crew at live events.
- Willingness to work both from our central London offices and from home as needed.
- Interest in rapid advancement in post-production and live event production.
