Camera Operator Editor – Birmingham

What you\’ll do:

  • Acquire and deliver media to Sky News using various equipment depending on the story\’s needs, potentially independently.
  • Operate cameras and lighting confidently, using the latest HD cameras for ENG, EFP, and long-form/documentary content gathering, including Panasonic GH7\’s.
  • Use non-linear editing systems proficiently, understanding the complex in-house workflow from acquisition to contribution with Adobe Premiere.
  • Utilize IP technologies (LiveU\’s/Starlinks/IP dishes) to deliver LIVE and recorded content from the field.
  • Collaborate with Sky News correspondents, field producers, and fellow camera operators/editors to gather, manage, and deliver high-quality content across all platforms.
  • Manage personal broadcast equipment, including ENG camera, sound, and other gear, and operate company pool/hired vehicles as needed.
